Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a product derived from the patient's own blood. It is obtained by extracting a small blood sample that is centrifuged to separate the red fraction that contains red blood cells, from the plasma that contains platelets. These are rich in growth factors that are activated to promote tissue repair.<\/p>

PRP is booming in aesthetic medicine as an anti-aging treatment, helping to detoxify, drain, nourish, revitalize, maintain and balance skin cells.<\/p>

The growth factors activated by this technique have the function of multiplying healthy cells, killing damaged cells, reducing inflammation and cellular stimulation. The use of PRP in aesthetics has multiple applications as a facial revitalizer for the face, neck and d\u00e9collet\u00e9, defines the facial frame, treats scars, reaffirms and increases buttocks, premature anti-aging, dark circles, stretch marks, flaccidity, hair revitalization, among others. Although the benefit obtained from this technique in aesthetic medicine is multiple, PRP is not limited to aesthetic treatments but its use extends to different pathologies as a treatment for arthritis, ulcers, low back pain, and has various applications in dentistry. The route of application is variable depending on the treatment that is sought to be carried out and that varies according to the pathology that is being treated.<\/p>
